This pleasant little
eatery is the creation of Chef Ah-Hui and his wife, Joanne Chuang,
both long-time employees of Ruth's Chris Steak House. Located on
a corner opposite ATT Department Store (just behind Sogo), Country
Goose features a mix of tasty food which includes Italian, Mexican
and other western dishes, such as Roasted Spareribs (NT$300), Panfried
Codfish with tartar sauce (NT$250), Baked Chicken Burritos (NT$180)
and Potato Gnocchi with tomatoes and basil (NT$160). There are also
soups, salads, desserts and plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic
drinks (there's a 4-7 p.m. daily happy hour with buy-two-get-one-free
deals). Jazz music and pleasant indoor and outdoor seating has already
helped make this a popular place with foreign and local diners.
