It incorporates Taipei City's urban allure and Kaohsiung City's friendly warmth together with its own breezy, easygoing aesthetics and creative LOHAS lifestyle. These exceptional qualities inspired iSee Taiwan Foundation to dub Taichung Taiwan's "La Mere Terre" – a name that aptly reflects its LOHAS predilections and Central Taiwan's pristine mountains, clean waters and exceptional living environment.
The International Spotlight Central Region Program (ISCRP) is a cooperative initiative of Taiwan's Tourism Bureau and the iSee Taiwan Foundation. Framed by "La Mere Terre" ideals, the program is committed to spotlighting and promoting the region's distinctive local character. At the crossroads of tourism and life learning, ISCRP is rolling out an interlaced and exciting menu of "Travel x Learning" activities that lets domestic and international tourists enjoy full-spectrum Taichung travel experiences that touch all six senses – from sight, sound, smell, taste and touch...all the way to the heart.
