Judging from 2010 spring/summer fashion-show runways, natural-looking makeup will continue to dominate the cosmetics scene this year. The focus is on a natural skin glow, combined with light pink blushes that seems to radiate from within. Bright and bold fruity colors are the main color scheme.

For the eyes, more clearly-defined eyeliners are "in", drawing out depth for the "windows to the soul". This look, like a flower waiting to blossom, really exudes the flourishing life of spring, according to makeup artist A-Bu of The Color Shop. Sweet pink is a color that's not missing out in either fashion or makeup trends for the 2010 spring/summer season. When it comes to eye makeup, soft shades are in, using romantic blends of pink with dashes of colors like coral, purple or turquoise.

A-Bu suggests that if you want to look great while keeping up with trends for the coming Chinese New Year holidays, you can try brushing your blush higher up your cheek than you normally do. For eye makeup, make use of different eyeliner colors to match eye shadow, merging the eyeliner into part of the look. For example, you can use pink eye shadow with purple eyeliner, or green eye shadow with dark blue eyeliner, to give your makeup a layering of color and bring out the shape of your eyes.

Note:
Glow is a very important element for this year's spring/summer look. Colors with a pearly shade can create a more translucent look, and you can bring out your natural glow by adding soft, sweet shades. Using a light foundation closer to your natural skin color is also a very important element.
