Owner Chang Tsochia has been interested in insects since his university days. Along with some good friends who share his interest, he has opened the first living insect shop in Taiwan, named Green Workshop. From his small studio in a garage down a lane, to his current more spacious shop in WuFu Road, Chang has always believed that his professional knowledge would be the way to promote important ecological concepts. He also believes that the public could learn more about insects and how to protect their environment through simple courses on ecology, observations in nature and keeping insects as pets. Apart from various live insects, insect specimens and exclusive pet products imported from Japan, there are also many of Chang's own favourite pets in the shop, such as a chameleon, a parrot and some other exotic animals which attract a lot of visitors to the shop. Stressing that they believe in promoting ecological concepts more than making a profit, Chang and his fellow environmental enthusiasts welcome anyone of any age who are interested in the world of bugs to come and share their love of nature.
