Across the street from the popular Fitness Factory on Boai 3rd Street, a new establishment called La Riche Cellier sells wine and spirits and serves nice meals. Its stark-white, minimalist design is complemented by a great balcony on the second floor. Michael, who also owns Cognac House, says La Riche is a place where one can learn about and appreciate wines. Their wines hail mostly from Italy, France, Spain and Australia; Scotch, Cognac and Armagnac round out their spirits selection. Groups can call in advance and set up a tasting session, which can organized by region or specific taste. La Riche also plans on having a wine of the week for customers to try by the glass. From the kitchen, the New York Cut Beef and Cheese Sandwich (NT$150) and Seafood & Tomato Spaghetti (NT$400/set) are popular menu choices. --Text by Sean Cooper, translated by Ann Lee
