Adding to the ever-increasing range of dining establishments here in Kaohsiung, O Pasta Restaurant recently opened in the new Herti Mall, a few blocks behind the MingChen Road McDonald's. The appeal of the black-and-white photographs on both floors, taken by the owner, Mr. Du, may be enough for you to stop by, but some of their entrees are worth a visit as well. Recommended by Mr. Du, the flavorful Spaghetti with Smoked Duck in Beer Sauce costs a reasonable NT$180, and the Spaghetti with Seafood and Pesto, for the same price, is a solid choice, too. Though the food menu is conveniently bilingual, the extra set meal items are listed only in Chinese (NT$90 adds a salad, drink, desert, and bread to your entree). Other pasta dishes range from NT$99-NT$240.
