Clean, bright and stylish, Tokyo Gauteaux
is set to alter the image of the traditional bakery.
They serve more than thirty deliciously different desserts,
health-oriented mixed-grain bread, and private recipe
drinks in a relaxing space. If you like cheese, try
their twelve different cheese-flavor cakes. The owner,
Miss Liao, highly recommends the Japanese Tea Sticky
Rice Red Bean Cheese cake. A big variety of seasonal
fruit Tiramisu is also available. Besides desserts,
mixed grain bread (made with high fiber konjac jelly
for a soft and fluffy texture) is freshly baked each
day. Try the fragrant Rose Cheese Burger or the cheese-filled
Oriental Burger. Tokyo Gateaux's unique iced white coffee
is the top choice to go with the desserts and bread,
but yogurt juices and caffeine-free fruit teas are also
offered. Their breakfast set meals (NT$89; 7 am-11 am)
or afternoon tea set meals (NT$79) are well worth a
try, and come with a special NT$49 drink offer.
