In the ZuoYing district, not far from Lotus
Lake, sits a new Tappanyaki restaurant. From the South end
of the lake, take ChengDe Road heading East just beyond the
train tracks and turn left at HuaSia road (look out for it
after about 50 metres on your left). This popular style of
frying meat and vegetables, made famous by the Japanese, is
an enjoyable experience for many reasons. Not only is it a
tasty and casual dining experience, it's also inexpensive
and quite interactive as well. From across a long and narrow
counter you can watch as the chefs slice, dice and fry your
food before your very eyes. Open 24 hours a day, this place
has lunchtime (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) specials and a free helping
of soup and black tea accompany every order. Set meals with
a choice of any three meats are between NT$250 - NT$280. Enjoy
single orders of chicken, codfish, squid, oyster, crabmeat
or clams for not more than NT$80. |
