Brought to you by Amy's Restaurants group,
the Harbor Villa Cafe and Lounge is as its name suggests.
It's a large and comfortable indoor/outdoor harbor front restaurant,
with a casual tropical flare, only steps away from the ferry.
The restaurant occupies a building that was once the regal
home of a local resident. For more than a year, the Harbor
Villa has graced its clientele with a mix of eastern and western
decor and the colorful history of the building itself.
Both menu and staff are friendly and eager
to help customers in both English and Chinese. Start with
the 'a la carte' menu or enjoy any one of a dozen set meal
options from NT$430 to NT$650. The menu even lists a variety
of 'special recommendation' dishes. Start with the Bean Sprout
and Pear Salad with house dressing at NT$150. Then try the
Fried Soft Shell Crab with Almond flakes for NT$250. In the
list of pork dishes don't miss the Stewed Pig Leg with Special
House Sauce for NT$380. Alternatively try the Chicken Leg
and Roll with Morel Red Wine Sauce at NT$290.
The dessert list is said to be limited, but
a look at the chocolate fondue and your choice of fruits may
in fact seem unlimited (NT$250). Also on the list of desserts
is the ever-popular Haagen-Daz brand of ice cream or the unique
green tea sundae for NT$180. Focaccia bread sandwiches are
served all day. The drink menu is expansive and made to please
coffee lovers, cocktail enthusiasts and wine connoisseurs
alike. Don't miss the newly introduced Tea Time menu. The
Harbor Villa boasts three floors of seating space, an elegant
lounge bar area, an open-air garden with a courtyard and can
easily accommodate groups and parties of up to 60 people.
The top floor is a completely open patio-style space with
great views of the harbor.
