For those who have yet to enjoy dining amidst
the warm glow of a lush Bali beach patio, Rain Forest is as
close as you'll get in downtown Kaohsiung. Although it has
been open for a few years, Rain Forest is likely to be a new
experience for many Kaohsiung residents. The first floor is
a cafe style patio, dessert and beverage bar (smoking permitted).
Upstairs offers a more formal dining space, without sacrificing
the ambience. Over 60 menu items to choose from a menu that
changes every 3 to 4 months, ensures that diners find something
to satisfy their palettes. For the set lunch patrons are privy
to a 10% discount, Monday through Friday. Afternoon diners
can enjoy the (NT$99) Tea Meal, which includes a selection
of cake or dessert, fresh fruit and drinks. The set dinner
meals, like the Baked Chicken Curry (NT$200), Beef Hotpot
(NT$220) and BBQ Steak (NT$320), include drinks. Try the freshly
squeezed fruit drinks. Also included is a complimentary coffee
or milk tea for dessert. English speakers should note that
until next season the menu is only in Chinese.
