Jing Dian is a new sushi and tea place next door to the FE
21 Department Store. It has no front door. Instead the bright
storefront is wide open and welcoming. Mrs. Wu, the owner,
learned the sushi technique from a Japanese chef and is happy
to introduce you to her culinary creations. The food is good,
the service is quick, and the price is right. Try the 9-piece
sushi plate for only NT$148. Both hot and cold dishes are
offered, and a drink is included with the set meals. Nothing
is priced over NT$200. Also try the unique "soup in a
teapot" (NT$38) and drink the salty broth out of a dainty
teacup! Another item worth noting is the Zhen Zhu Nai Cha
(NT$80), which was better than what you'd find at most tea
stands. Although it was huge, I managed to drink almost the
whole thing, as the sweetness was just right for my Western
tastebuds and the zhen zhu balls were the perfect texture.
Although Jing Dian looks small from the outside, there's a
second floor with plenty of seating.
