Open now for over 12 years, Norman's Pizza
Pub is probably one of the oldest foreign run establishments
in Kaohsiung. Pizzas are hand-made from scratch and take about
20 minutes to prepare. (Small NT$130, Medium NT$250 and Large
NT$350.) If you don't like to wait you are welcome to phone
in your order in advance. Linda, Norman's wife, says the place
hasn't changed much over the years. Located conveniently close
to the Kaohsiung Cultural Center, she prefers to think of
it as a home away from home for her costumers, rather than
a business. Except for Thursdays, the pub is open every day
from 6 p.m. to midnight. Wednesdays are very popular, due
to many foreign teachers dropping in after class for a drink
or to take part in one of the many local interest clubs that
might be holding a meeting. (Depending on the crowd, Wednesday
night's closing time might be pushed up to 2 a.m.)
