Brothers Jimmy and Jerry Wang opened New Thai
City eight years ago after cooking Thai-style food at locations
from Myanmar to Japan One of three locations in Kaohsiung,
the DaShun Road. restaurant, is spacious and elegant, complete
with lemon water poured into exquisite royal silver cups seconds
after being seated. The Chinese / English menu includes a
variety of vegetables, spicy meats, fish, fried dishes, noodles
and fried rice; with the option of very hot, medium or mild.
The Thai hot fried meat jam is a favorite. Also try the Thai
curry shrimp. All entrees come in small or large (NT$120-300).
A variety of drinks are available, but the coconut milk, mango
juice or tamarind drink should not be overlooked (NT$50-80).
Jimmy and Jerry are on location every day and are happy to
accommodate groups of up to 12 people in their Japanese-style
room.
