       Many people who live in downtown Kaohsiung will be happy to hear of the return of an old favorite--Bagel Bagel. The third store in this popular chain opened on February 21, close to where the original--but now defunct--LinSen Road Bagel Bagel used to be. Slightly bigger than its sibling in the northern part of the city, Bagel Bagel 3 works in much the same way. There's comfortable outdoor and indoor seating where patrons can enjoy the wide variety of delicious food and drinks on offer. Sandwiches and salads are central to the menu, but there are also hot eats to be had. The shop features a billboard for public announcements, plus the Bagel Bagel Book Swap. Bagel Bagel 3 opens at 7 am, to accommodate the breakfast crowd, and stays open past 10 pm. The shop is run as a partnership between Brett and Ellie (who also run the Lighthouse Bar & Grill) and an entrepreneurial employee named Candy. --By Pieter Vorster Translated by Christine Wang
