VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS Open
since March 27, Double Vision--as it's name suggests--has two parts.
The front section is a brightly lit, pastel colored area primarily
for dining and tea drinking. The menu offers a choice of regular
Chinese fare--the Salmon Head Hot Pot and steaks come recommended--but
more adventurous diners might be tempted by the strangely-named
Hells Treasure (which is, in fact, fried crickets), the mountain
rat, or the snow rabbit. The other section of Double Vision is accessed
through an oval portal in the rear of the restaurant. This area
is entirely black but for neon artwork which, along with any white
clothing that you may be wearing, glows. The effect is quite startling.
Pitchers of Tiger Beer can be had for NT$300; the second pitcher
comes free. A lot of thought has been put into the design of Double
Vision. Even the bathrooms are interesting! --By Richard Matheson
