Radu Poklitaru first became known for his "Three Grusinien Songs", for which he received a first prize at the international ballet masters' competition in Moscow in 2001. In coordination with Russian's famous writer Anton Chekhov, this ballet is presented in a dramatic form.

_The Secret Treasures of Dynasties: Exhibition of Ancient Cultural Relics

The Fantasticks!
This musical comedy, by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, is being presented by the Kaohsiung American School Drama Class, under the direction of Lisa Allen. This show holds the Guinness Record as the longest-running Off-Broadway show in New York, having closed in 2002 after a run of 42 continuous seasons Singing! Dancing! Laughter! Tears! Fights! Romance! What more could you want? Come see this classic tale of love and adventure on May 17, at 3:30 pm, on the KAS Campus (35, Sheng Li Road, Tzuo Ying District). Jiang-an, Jiang-xun & Yang Zheng-yong's Joint Exhibition of Books, Painting & Pottery Works
iang-xun is dedicated to informing people throughout Taiwan about the esthetics of living. He has held many lectures that gained great popularity, as well as published novels to promote his beliefs. He will be holding a joint exhibition, showing a display of books, painting and pottery, at Kaohsiung's Xin-si-wei Arts Corner. Ms. Jiang-An is also invited to present her unique water-ink paintings. Another artist's work to be seen at this exhibition is Yang Zheng-yong's pottery pieces, he has been making the pottery art for over 2 decades. Jiang-xun is also known for his painting and calligraphy sketches, and they welcome all to see their oriental cultural arts.

Kaohsiung Blacklung Ultimate Frisbee A mix of casual, for-fun participants meet every Sunday at Hsiung Gong High School, SanMin District (just off Jian Gong Road; across from the Body Shop). Practice starts at 1:30pm (winter time) and 2:30 pm (summertime). With a tradition of pick-up ultimate Frisbee going back to the mid 90's, Kaohsiung Blacklung was formed in 2001 and has hosted the Funky Monkey Hat Tournament for the past 3 years, inviting the best players from all over the island. If you have never played and are interested, or if you have played and want to have a good run around, come on out. Bring your cleats and some water; everything else is provided for you.
