Weng Hot Pot Restaurant -- which is located
a stone's throw from Sinshih Train Station, and a few minutes'
walk from Far East College -- offers a range of inexpensive
hot pots. There are Fish (NT$90), Sichuan Spicy (NT$90), Satay
Fish (NT$80), Vegetarian (NT$80), Korean Kimchi (NT$80), and
other options. But without a doubt, the most interesting dish
is the Indian Curry Hot Pot (NT$90). In terms of contents,
it is pretty similar to a typical Taiwanese hot pot. However,
in terms of flavor, smell, and color, it really does resemble
an Indian curry. Available extras include slices of Beef,
Pork, and Mutton (NT$50 per portion), and side dishes of vegetables
and noodles (mostly around NT$20). The interior is clean and
brightly lit, and can seat at least 100 customers. This establishment
has its own parking lot, between the restaurant and the 7-Eleven
on the corner of the Provincial Highway. |
