1 oz Grand Marnier
1 oz Peach Schnapps
1/5 oz fresh lemon juice
1 peeled orange
14 ice cubes
Directions: Frappe all ingredients in a blender for 30 seconds. Pour into a pre-cooled cocktail glass and garnish with a slice of lime and two straws. For extra touch, dip rims in colored sugar.
This month's cocktail is a creation of bartender Bambi, at the lounge and jazz bar Sappho. Famous for its Thursday night jazz jamming sessions that start around 11 p.m. and last until 2 a.m., they also have life live music on Tuesdays and Fridays. Sappho's kitchen is open daily from 10 p.m. till 2 a.m., serving finger food in prices that range from NT$180 to NT$320.
Many cocktails are filled with so many different liquors that you have no idea what you're drinking--it just tastes bittersweet. The Naked Orange (NT$280) is a welcome change. It's fine, refreshing flavor and the added Grand Mariner is nostalgic and delectable.
