Michael Wendel's bakery has gone through some serious transformations. Because the bakery now offers a dining menu, it has been renamed Wendel's German & Bistro. During its eight-year history, this establishment's authentic, traditional German bread has satisfied both foreigners residing in Tienmu and local hardcore bread enthusiasts. All bread fans pay homage to Wendel's, and taste its rich and texture-full products. Long before whole-grain bread became a trend, Wendel was already producing fresh, natural, no-sugar, no-oil bread. Now it is also a great place to taste German cuisine. At Wendel's, you are able to enjoy dishes such as Wendel's Tasties (a pork, cheese and mushroom pie for NT$360), German Bratwurst With Wheat Beer Sauce (NT$280) and the All Time Favorite Traditional Gurrwurst (NT$280)--all of which prove the owner's skills extend far beyond baking. --By Josie Wu, translated by Teresa Cheng
