Spring
Vietnamese Cuisine's owner and chef, Arthur Kung, is
proud of his award winning menu ("Taipei City
Government's Business Management Bureau's Prestigious
Top Award for Light Meals"), and he should
also be proud that nearly three years after taking
over from Madame Jill's, the house is full every
night and doubly so on weekends. The reason is
Spring's attention to quality and freshness over
tradition. The menu has a slight Thai/Vietnamese
mix with Taiwanese characteristics. The NT$199
single-person set menu includes one main dish,
two side dishes, a dessert, and a beverage. While
all the food is excellent, not to be missed are
Spring's handmade creative dessert cakes. These
include La Yue Cake (green bean and rice flour),
Two Layer Coconut Cake, and Panda Leaf Juice Cake.
