This
building has had various guises throughout history.
It was originally the villa of tea merchant Chen Chao-jun,
the residence of the speaker of the Legislative Yuan,
a place for craftwork, and then an artisans' co-operative.
The first floor is a red-brick construction, while
the second was made of wood in classic Tudor style.
High-quality cypress was used inside in an Art Nouveau
style. The Story Teahouse is managed by the Landis
Hotel, and offers traditional rural dishes, such as
Alsace Sauerkraut & Pigs' Feet, Truffle & Spring
Chicken, Roasted Salmon. You can enjoy either English-style
tea, French-style bowls of coffee, or even traditional
biscuits while sitting on the patio during the daytime.
In the evening, you can enjoy the hilly scenery. |
