Baked
congee is a dish invented by the proprietor of Sun Gardens.
Tasty congee is cooked until almost dry, a rich array of ingredients
is added, and it is then baked. The dish comes in tuna, bacon,
ham, beef and other flavours. Other notable dishes include
pork rice with vegetable paste (which has a light sweet flavor
and is not oily), and beef noodle soup. The latter is made
using 20 beef tendons, bones, and the chef's own Chinese herbal
recipe. The ramen noodles are handmade. There are also cold
noodles which come with a sesame sauce and a vegetable paste,
both mouthwatering and healthy. The house dishes are all just
NT$55. One dish in a set meal with scalded cabbage and beef
soup is just NT$95,or NT$105 with a beef cake and beef soup.
