The Unforgettable Teng Li-Jun
Reviewer: FM 97.7 March |
After the death of renowned Taiwanese singer Teng Li-jun (Teresa
Teng) in late 1995, her brother had the sad task of sorting through
her things. He came across some tapes of her singing Chinese
and English songs. These tapes, never before released, represented
her last recordings.
These recordings, compiled into an album, are divided into three
parts. The first part includes old Chinese songs, the second
part Western (English) songs and the third part recording studio
practice sessions. The style of music is completely different
from that of her past albums. The blending of vocals with
meaningful lyrics feels very natural, and there is no missing Teng¡0¦(s
dedication to her music.
