Overcome with emotion and unable to cope with the authorities and the press, Christine takes the boy home but later suspects that he is not her true son. She then challenges the system and forces the police to assist in finding her real son. Unfortunately, these leads to unfair treatment for Christine, who is locked up in a psychiatric cell.
