Sabina (Giovanna Mezzogiorno) leads a regular life. She has a satisfying job and a loving boyfriend, Franco (Alessio Boni). Lately, as nightmares begin to disturb her, Sabina decides to contact her brother in the US, to try and understand what happened in their past. As they begin to recall both happy and sad events from their childhood, Sabina also discovers a terrible secret about her brother. Will she be able to help him, even as she herself is lost in emotional turmoil?
