Based on the popular series of Lemony Snicket's children's books, the story is about three rich children who find themselves orphaned after a huge fire. They are sent to live with their distant relative, Count Olaf. In a plot to take control of the Baudelaire children's massive inheritance, Count Olaf, with the help of his evil sidekicks, will stop at nothing. And it proves to be the beginning of a series of unfortunate events for the three Baudelaire brothers and sisters.
