Reve Cafe

(04) 2320-8280
290, GongYi Rd, West Dist
Hours: 11:30 am-9:30 pm

This southern Taiwan cafe chain has arrived in Taichung with well-illuminated venue decorated with French windows, sparkly LED lighting and a mix of homey and industrial ambiance. Seating options include a private room, high chairs and love seats. Five roasted drip-coffee options include Kenya AA, Mandheling and Yirgacheffe, and the popular Cold Brew Coffee (NT$150), prepared over eight hours, offers sips of pure coffee enjoyment. For dining, there are pasta, risotto, paella and brunch options, plus excellent desserts like the handmade, chewy and soft Mochi (rice cake) Waffle. The unique Israel Class Set (NT$280) offers the sweet, fresh flavors of simmered tomatoes and yellow peppers, and stand-out favorites include the tender, crusty-textured Bavaria Crispy Pork Knuckle (NT$280/half), wholesome, tasty Seafood Grilled with White Wine (NT$250), featuring wrapped fresh fish steamed with basil and wine, and Spaghetti with Duck Breast and Black Truffle in Cream Sauce (NT$320). The menu changes its menu every six months, keeping things fresh and interesting. --By Uvia Chang, translated by Anna Yang
