Opened in late March, Cha Zih Wu is a tea restaurant offering exotic-looking decor and cuisine. Manager Huang is keen on traveling and often returns with souvenirs from his journeys. This has influenced the restaurant's main Mediterranean-style, blue-and-white color theme, and the big archway that greets the customers as they walk inside; the strong contrasting colors may help diners imagine they're vacationing on a Greek island. There are more than 25 different tea selections on the menu, and prices range from NT$50 to NT$70. If you get hungry, try their hot pot options, or the au gratin baked dishes and other set meals also available. --By Natasha Lee, translated by Ann Lee
A. If you are a first-time customer, Manager Huang recommends trying the au gratin baked cheese dishes, such as American-Style Coconut Curry. However, if you want something with a more exotic flair, try the Italian-style au gratin baked dishes (NT$180-190), like Seafood with Truffle Sauce, which come with soup, beverage and dessert.
B. Assorted Fruit Waffle (NT$99).
C. Cha Zih Wu has a blue and white interior, and provides a clean, comfortable dining ambiance. You may also want to linger here to read or surf the Internet. Because, this place is open until 3 a.m., it's perfect for either getting a meal or midnight snack, or as a great hangout for friends to meet at.
