Apart from a noteworthy display of music CDs, VCDs and DVDs, Caffe Forte has a nice collection of books to browse through while having a cup of joe. With pale lighting, classical music and dark green, map-riddled walls, it's easy to be charmed by this little coffee house.

The menu selection here includes: flavored hot teas (熱飲風味茶 NT$120), Caffe Italiano (義式咖啡 NT$110/hot, NT$130/iced), Mango Frappes (芒果冰沙 NT$130), cakes (風味蛋糕 NT$80), and Delicate Meals (風味套餐 NT$210). Or, if you want to keep your visit's cost down, try their economical Afternoon Tea (NT$170) set, which comes with any cake and a beverage of your choice.
Occasionally, this coffee house hosts various types of musical/cultural events and lectures on the second floor. The store manager, Mr. Gao, also became one the first Taiwanese people to establish a great friendship with the Czech Republic. On a special note, the former U.S. Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, has even attended one of Caffe Forte's overseas get-togethers!

Besides befriending politicians, Gao has a deep interest in music and used to write reviews for the Prague Music Festival. His love of music is definitely apparent in everything from the cafe's "loud" name to the selection of books on the shelves. With a winning combination of music and coffee, Forte is a great place to relax with a nice drink and dessert.
