"Without restraint, be relaxed about who you are and enjoy the wonderful things in life." This advice is the life anthem of the owners at Who Together, a coffee house hidden inside a small city alley. This little place operates inside an old-fashioned house, with an ancient garden and dark-wood furniture. And it is easy to enjoy the wonderful things in life while sipping a warm cup of coffee under a big, sunlit window.
At Who Together, all the specialty coffee beans come with guarantees from the suppliers, so you can be assured of quality and freshness in eaoh purchase. The cafe recommends trying their coffee a la carte style, by choosing any bean brand then letting the chefs brew you a cup that suits your personal tastes. Who Together offers more than coffee, though; their selection of Chinese/Asian-style teas are all grown by friends of the owners. You can also try a popular Japanese tea called Mo-cha (Japanese green tea) that they recently brought back from Kyoto.
Apart from coffee and tea, Who Together also has beverages like healthy vinegar drinks (NT$90-140), almond tea (NT$70-140), juices, yogurt, and milk (NT$70-180). The also have Mian Cha (麵茶), or "Seasoned Millet Mush" as it's called on the menu, one of Taiwan's most loved teas from times past. At this diverse cafe/tea house, you can even enjoy some culture, with monthly events like book clubs, talks, film festivals and art exhibitions.
If you get a bit hungry, try the Chinese Pancake (NT$90-120), which is an interesting mix of East and West. Or try the rich Baked Potato in Cheese with fresh fruits and vegetables. In addition, you will find handmade cakes, chocolates and cookies (NT$29-70), as well as their specially recommended sweet Coffee Puff Lemon (NT$80).
