There is an American country-style cafe right across from Plato
Cafe with a very pleasant name--Spring. There is a Christmas-like
feeling, thanks to a lovely Santa that stands by the cafe's window
with twinkling lights. The interior decorations remind patrons of
an American country house, complete with fireplace. The red-brick
wall and subdued lighting makes it a cozy place in the winter. Most
of the customers like to sit by the windows, spending an afternoon
looking at what's happening on the street. The tea-time special
here is quite special. Spring Cafe provides healthy desserts, such
as pancakes with mustard, sesame or original flavors. The pancakes
come with an orange yogurt or other drinks for only NT$180 and you
can enjoy this tasty dessert without worrying about the calories.
Spring's house-special coffee (NT$120) is another must-try and is
made with Columbian and other mixed beans. With a rich fragrance,
it tastes unbelievably good. There are also some set meals here.
This is definitely a place to spend some time at, enjoying the relaxing
atmosphere and giving thought to things that you've been pondering
for a while.
