     Lately, the favorite decor for teahouses in Taichung seem to be high ceilings and steel frames. Now, even the introverted NingXia Road has seen the opening of its own large-scale teahouse, Shan He Xuan (Mountain River Melody). Although its inside decor may not be the most original, the floor and steel cable dividers give the place a lively sense of dimension. Recommended entrees include Wined Chicken (NT$180), Oven-Baked Chicken (NT$150), and Shrimp Roll (NT$180). Entrees come with rice, three side dishes, soup and a choice of green or black tea. If you¡¦re in an adventurous mood, you can try ice-blended drinks with flavors such as yam (NT$110), lavender (NT$130) and rose (NT$130). You may also want to try the Mexican Taco (NT$120) and mix and match your favorite flavor tortilla shell (spicy, curry or spinach) with ingredients that include smoked chicken, ham, lettuce and more.
