The
Godfather
236, Shih Cheng North 5th Road
|
"The Godfather", released in 1972, directed
by Francis Ford Coppola, and starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino
was a graphically violent but artistic portrayal of the Corleones,
a powerful Mafia family. This film is a classic that will probably
forever top the favorite movie list of most film lovers. Movie buffs
will definitely want to check out The Godfather restaurant located
behind the Mitsukoshi Department Store. It is a simple steel frame
structure complemented by wood and glass. The interior is done up
to look like a set from "The Godfather" and theme songs
from various well-known movies play in the background. The Godfather
serves mostly foreign dishes such as lamp chops in herb sauce (NT$520),
Japanese-style pork cutlet (NT$180) and lasagne (NT$180), but this
is also a good place to enjoy a cup of coffee or afternoon tea.
Try the hot orange tea (NT$140), osthmanus plum tea (NT$140), Pu
Erh chrysanthemum tea (NT$140) or one of the many coffee choices
(NT$100 to NT150) along with a decadent dessert (NT$60 to NT$70).
Another plus is the convenient parking nearby.
