The Cat and the Moon is a small restaurant in the bustling Tunghai
Piehshu area. Its decor, done up in blue and white, and large picture
windows help to create a romantic atmosphere. 50's music plays continuously
in the background. Food choices include various kinds of mini hotpot
such as Korean kimchee, spicy Chinese-style and Japanese curry (NT$160
to NT$180). Casseroles range in price from NT$150 to NT$180. Pasta
dishes range from NT$120 to NT$150 and include Vegetable Fruit Low-fat
Cheese Macaroni, Baked Cheese Macaroni with Sausage and Thai-style
Vegetable Noodles. In addition, there are a wide variety of drink
choices. I recommend the herbal teas (NT$130 to NT$140) such as
jack furit tea and wild cherry tea. Or, try one of the zodiac cocktails,
specially blended for each astrological sign (NT$140). There is
also a snack menu (NT$40 to NT$130) featuring such items as Cheese
Bake Butter Greens Chicken, French Baked Green Pepper Casserole
and Banana Flambee.
The Cat and the Moon is a reasonably priced, conveniently located
place for Tunghai students to spend time with that special someone.
To add to the cozy, intimate atmosphere, The Cat and the Moon invites
outstanding students from the Tunghai University Department of Music
to give performances twice daily. Plenty of other surprises await
you at The Cat and the Moon.
