This coffee shop has a very unique name. It
made me wonder, If I was an angel and I wanted to land at
a coffee shop in Taichung, which would I choose? My
guess would be this tranquil, warm coffee shop with its European-style
exterior surrounded by shady trees.
Cafe Angel Landing is a small establishment that opened about 18
months ago. Most of its customers come to relax after work or live
in the neighborhood. But, this is a place for anyone who likes coffee
freshly brewed by hand. Here, you can see the coffee actually flowing
through a siphon.
Expect to pay about NT$100 for the fresh-brewed coffee. Varieties
include Mandeling, Mandeling Santos, latte and cappuccino.
Herbal teas are about NT$120. Set meals range in price from
NT$150 to NT$180. Breakfast is also available for about NT$120.
Definitely try the very delicious tiramisu. There are also
bagels, such as the smoked chicken bagel sandwich for NT$80.
Although the larger coffee shops usually have machines that brew
coffee of consistent quality, it is places like Cafe Angel
Landing that preserve coffee culture. If you like to linger
in a quiet place while sipping coffee and listening to soothing
music, then Cafe Angel Landing is the place for you.
