Making
the biggest splash that Taichung has seen in a while, this swanky-looking
shopping and entertainment mall is an attractive addition to the
city's booming seventh redevelopment zone and is already a massive
hit with residents. Tiger City takes more of American approach to
shopping centers, with independent stores and a large outdoor parking
lot that surrounds the area (plus basement parking). There are 100
shops, cafes, snack bars and restaurants, including Clark's shoes,
Tommy Jeans, Starbucks, The Spice Shop Indian Food, Stefanel, Marie
Claire, The Perfect Potion, T-Thai Restaurant, Cool World, Bossini,
Ditrevi Italian gelato, Swatch, A&D, NET, and Working House.
All this is contained on 28,000 square meters of sales space (out
of a total 49,000 square meters). Other big draws include a Warner
Village cinema complex (see following listing) and a two-floor Club
SEGA, filled with the latest in electronic amusement. Coming attractions
include a City Club and spa.
