Special AD Focus   2009 Rock In Taichung 9/12-13, 3-10 pm, WenXin Forest Park's Fulfillment Amphitheater Words by Taichung City Cultural Affairs Bureau Translated by Naomi Lai The popular 2009 Rock In Taichung event will be held from 3 to 10 p.m. September 12-13 at the Fulfillment Amphitheater in Taichung's WenXin Forest Park. Over 60 independent bands will rock the audience with their musical passion and spirit of rock 'n' roll. This year's Rock In Taichung includes not only campus bands from National Chung Hsing University, National Changhua University of Education, Tunghai University and Providence University, but also award-winning bands from the Golden Melody Awards, Formoz Festival and Hohaiyan Rock Festival, such as Totem, Wonfu, Kou Chou Ching, LTKC, Children Sucker, The Tonic, Echo, and 88 Balaz. Foreign independent bands include Tokyo rock diva Higuchi Makiko; Japanese electronic rock band Popular; Japanese punk band Hot Dog Buddy Buddy; and Korea's Seoul Independent Music Festival Winner, Galaxy Express. Other activities held around the amphitheater during Rock In Taichung event will provide a variety of entertainment. The International Food Festival will showcase food cultures from around the world, and the Idea Market will include a colorful array of hand made and designers' products.
