Here's an idea for summer: How
about spending a day away from the heat at Taichung
Children's Art Museum? This "museum"
is a place that allows the younger generation
to enjoy art and let their imaginations and creativity
run wild. From the ticketing window, which is
a huge, red school bus, to the many exhibition
areas in the museum, this place is a dream for
kids. The Oblique Angle Alley on the second floor
lets kids play shop with their friends. Apart
from some digital games, the third floor offers
a cool "film studio" where children
can take photos of their own and see them displayed
on a big screen on the wall. The Rhythm Room stars
the famous Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. At
The Blue Danube, children can create their own
sounds and rhythms through different musical instruments.
Finally, kids who like to explore can visit the
Starry Arena on the basement level. Here, they
can choose from about 30 different Chinese and
Western styles of clothing and join the dolls
on stage for a fun acting experience. --By Lishea
