JEN-AI HOSPITAL BABY WEB

JEN-AI HOSPITAL BABY WEB

483, Dong Rong Road, Tali City, Taichung County
36, Liu Chuan East Road, section 3, Taichung City
(04) 2481-9900 (Tali), 2225-5450 (Taichung City)

Local and foreign parents of new-born babies will be happy to hear about Jen-Ai Hospital's new Baby Web, which was unveiled in March. The first of its kind on the island, Baby Web is modeled on similar programs in the U.S. and provides a special webpage for each infant, containing a photo, weight and other details for friends and family around the world to enjoy within 72 hours of birth. Additional information about baby care and related topics will be added to Baby Web soon. Jen-Ai Hospital, which has been around for 58 years, is also internationalizing itself in other ways, including an in-depth English website (http://www.jah.org.tw/english.asp) that includes everything from basic information to floor plans and a virtual tour of the hospital. Even more ambitious are plans to create an International Patient Center to meet the medical needs of central Taiwan's foreign community. This is tentatively scheduled to begin service this summer and will provide assistance in English and Southeast Asian languages. Jen-Ai has two branches, with the larger 746-bed hospital located just across the Taichung county line in Tali city, near Guo Guang Road.
