THE SPICE STALL
Yi Chung Street (near Taiping Road TLI and NSB Books)
Hours: Approx. 12 noon-12 midnight (usually closed Mondays)

(this place may be out of business now - we need to check)

Taichung fans of Indian food can now savor yet another option, The Spice Stall. This roadside street vendor stall is located on a corner just meters down the alley from the Taipei Language Institute building and New Student Books, on Yi Chung Street just off of Taiping Road. Despite hundreds of competing vendors, this unique addition has become a big hit with local students, providing NT$50 kebab rolls -- beef, lamb or chicken wrapped in roti bread with vegetables -- as well as Tandoori chicken wings and legs.
