This little Indian eatery, offering savory, low-priced food, was opened by Pakistani native Yousuf. Although he is still modifying his menu selection, a proven best-seller is the Indian-style Fried Rice (NT$70-80), which comes in beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetable varieties. Other items include Chicken Chana Masala (NT$250), Eggplant Curry (NT$180), beef, chicken and vegetable rolls (NT$70-80), and lassi yogurt drinks. Interestingly enough, Yousuf says he may also add pizzas to the menu! --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Chen Deh-I

A. Filling but very cheap, the Monday-Friday lunch specials include this NT$150 Beef Curry, which includes rice, nan bread, soup (Chicken Cream Corn shown here) and drink. There are even cheaper NT$130 shrimp and vegetable curry options, too.

B. Chef/owner Yousuf, who has spent over two decades in Taiwan, does much of the cooking himself.
