188, WenXin Rd, Sec 3
Delivery Hotline: (04) 2313-5488
Hours: 5 pm-12 am

Mi Chi Lin is Taiwan's first "bicycle-delivery restaurant". This label comes from the fact that it boasts a bicycle drive-thru of sorts: Customers ride into the restaurant on their bikes and place an order, which is speedily prepared for pick-up/take-out. Located on busy Wenxin Road with a 120-ping dining area, Mi Chi Lin has a comfortable, vividly-colored setting with distinct red tables and black chairs. Bike-riding customers follow the ㄇ-shaped bike track to the ordering counter. All food is prepared by experienced chefs who relocated from Taipei to Taichung, and the menu offers an array of popular Taiwanese and Hakka-style dishes. This eatery also serves teppanyaki-style steaks, including Teppanyaki-style Sirloin Steak (NT$89), Teppanyaki-style Noodles (NT$49), Chef's Special of the Day (NT$59) and Gong Bao Chicken (NT$129). Stir-fried Spicy Bean Sprouts (NT$59) is a great dish with alcoholic beverages. On the drinks menu, you'll find Tiger Beer (NT$69) and other non-alcoholic items (NT$19 each), plus freshly-squeezed mango juice and grape juice (NT$39) which are ideal for the summer. Whether you're a bicyclist just riding through or wanting to stay and dine in, Mi Chi Lin is a well thought-out, convenient dining spot. --By Wang Xiao-ling, translated by Ann Lee

A. Mi Chi Lin is Taiwan's first bicycle-delivery restaurant. "Mi" means "rice" in Chinese, while the combination of "chi" and "lin" allude to welcoming guests with ready-to-go meals.

B. Although there are dozens of spicy stir-fry dishes served here, you won't find the Chef's Specialty Fried Tofu dish (NT$99) on the menu. Be sure to ask the chefs to make you this tasty dish to-go. This must-try entree is soft on the inside, crispy on the outside and should be savored slowly.
