Mei Long Zhen is a Hakka-style restaurant that caters especially to banquets and special occasions. Their a la carte menu showcases delicacies from Sichuan and Hong Kong. It is ideal for family or group gatherings, and guests can reserve up to 35 tables for special occasions. The chefs have specially designed table dishes for 10 guests (ask about their private dining rooms) and the cost of these wonderfully prepared dishes ranges from NT$4,000 to NT$10,000 per table. A table of seven or eight will cost around NT$3,600, while five or six people can eat for NT$2,500. Owner Mei Long-zhen is Hakka himself and continues his family's tradition of cooking large meals for large groups of people. --By Dawn Yang, translated by Ann Lee
