Among the many distinguished restaurants in the WuQuan Parkway area, the long-established Creative stands out because of its fairytale-like exterior. Purple flowers pour over the pleasant outdoor seating area and the warm bricks, leading you to the cute puppet in the doorway-a playful little guy imported from the Czech Republic. Inside the nicely decorated restaurant, there is a whole range of goodies to choose from.

To celebrate its 13th-year anniversary, Creative created a brand new menu in October, and hired well-known chefs to take charge in the kitchen and spice things up a bit. Patrons can enjoy a selection of creative cuisine, siphon coffees, and herbal and Chinese teas. The chef's recommended dishes include Creative's Exclusive German Pig's Knuckles (NT$580), which are marinated in dozens of spices, braised, roasted and finally fried. Another popular dish is the Mediterranean Au Gratin Seafood (NT$680), a combination of oysters, prawns, scallops and squid. All meals are served with French garlic bread, an appetizer like Smoked Salmon with Hungarian Peppers, Seafood Soup, Caesar Salad, a handmade dessert, and a choice from four beverages, including plum juice.
Some of their nifty set meals include the Grilled Goose Liver & Fillet Steak (NT$480), which is made with New Zealand beef and imported Foie Gras. The Salmon Steak with French Mustard Seed Sauce (NT$480) is freshly sliced deep-sea salmon topped with their creamy French mustard sauce.

If you like spicy food, then try their Spicy Chicken Strip Noodles (NT$230) or the Sauteed Inkfish Noodles (NT$230). The Italian Chicken Noodles with Mild Mushrooms (NT$250), are cooked with special wild mushrooms from Sinshe and a large portion of chicken breast; it's also served with a rich, creamy white sauce.

From Monday to Friday, get business lunches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and afternoon tea specials from 2 to 5 p.m. Patrons can choose any beverage and get a snack dish, like made-to-order donuts, cakes, pumpkin pie or waffles, for the impressive price of NT$158.
