In a city full of beautiful restaurants, this is one of the more attractive new additions. The four owners (including 3 junior high school classmates) converted an old, two-floor house on a quiet lane between JingCheng and ZhongMing South roads into a sleekly-modern-yet-comfortable dining establishment. Romantic day or night, Biancha 7vie's mostly-white decor blends nicely with an outdoor wooden deck (with seating), pond, stone wall, palms and plumeria trees, and a grass yard. The spacious interior includes a two-floor glass box-like area, spiral staircase and balcony. The experienced co-owner/chef ensures that the food matches the ambiance, with six NT$290 lunch sets that include salad bar, soup, bread, drink and a main course like the popular Spaghetti with Seafood in Thai Sauce, or Chicken Roll Stuffed with Cheese and Spinach. For dinner, there are NT$590, NT$880 and NT$1,200 multi-course sets which also include appetizer and pasta/risotto choices and main entrees like Roasted Pork Knuckle and Sauerkraut served with mustard sauce, and various steaks. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Ann Lee
