Hours: 11:30 am-8:30 pm

How much do you expect to pay for a decent meal? Chances are, your answer is more expensive than Zhong's Tempura, which offers a selection of delicious foods, the most expensive of which is a whopping NT$35. The 30-odd menu items include Assorted Tempura (NT$10), Fried Fish Flakes & Rice (NT$25) and Zhong's Noodles (NT$35). The brightly-lit, air-conditioned dining environment provides friendly service and free cold beverages, so no matter if you dine-in or carry-out, the experience will be pleasant. The owners insist on fresh, quality ingredients and usually go to manufacturers to sample food and inspect production procedures before making orders. All the soup items here are cooked with specially-selected natural ingredients to bring out original flavors, with no added spices to change the taste. Also, all of their food is cooked and sold on the same day, so selections are not available after they sell out. This type of operation guarantees costumers receive the freshest food during every visit. --By James Su, translated by Ann Lee
