After closing its original ChongDe Road branch, the popular Uncle Jimmy's deli and imported goods store has relocated to SiPing Road, about 150 meters down the road from Morrison Academy. As before, the deli offers a tasty variety of American-style, made-to-order sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts--from Cheesecake Brownies (NT$50) and Muffins (NT$60) to Apple Pie and the very popular Chocolate Chip Cookies--plus cold and hot drinks. Owners Jimmy and Julie also hope to restore their Saturday-morning breakfasts soon. On the retail side, the bright-looking shop's well-stocked shelves have an abundance of imported American candy, breakfast cereal, soft drinks, cake mixes, salad dressing, spices and all kinds of canned goods. Refrigerated/frozen goods also include hot dogs and sausages, bagels, English muffins, tortillas, butter and other items. The store's non-food items include school supplies, imported American crafts, deodorant and reasonably-priced U.S. brand-name clothes (like Old Navy). --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Ann Lee
