Salad Princess, located on QingHai Road, puts more emphasis on light food, catering to the fresh-and-healthy diet concept. A number of five-star classic salads and French salty pies can be savored here. The owner, who spent six to seven years working at high-end restaurants, makes impressive efforts to prepare ingredients, cook and decorate his dishes. Chicken Corn Thick Soup (NT$50) and Assorted Seafood Thick Soup (NT$90) all are served with fresh, generous ingredients and a tasty broth. There are so many kinds of salad that you may have a hard time deciding. Nicoise Salad (NT$85) is made with tuna, beans, eggs and tomatoes, and topped with vinegar oil. Mushroom Salad (NT$85) is prepared with many types of mushrooms, which are boiled and chilled and sprinkled with light, fresh Japanese dressing. For those with big appetites, Chicken Salad (NT$120) and tender-tasting Fillet Salad (NT$180) should be top choices. The Deep Fried Crab Sandwich (NT$100), another rarity on the menu, is served with eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers and mustard. It's surprisingly fresh and not oily. With all these available, it's hard to resist stopping by for a unrivalled salad experience.
