With almost 10 years of history, GP Hong Kong Restaurant is well-known for its Hong Kong-style dim sum delicacies, roasts and seafood. The owner and head chef has been studying culinary skills in Hong Kong since he was 15 and is tremendously skilled at preparing Cantonese cuisine. Although the restaurant is not large and is very simply decorated, it has the atmosphere of a genuine local Hong Kong eatery and attracts many customers from Hong Kong. There are over 20 types of dim sum selections to choose from, costing from NT$45 to NT$75. The Shrimp and Tofu Skin Wrap is highly recommended, containing fresh shrimp, chives and "shao mai" filling, which provides a crisp, tender texture. The Feng Cheng Chives Pancake is first steamed, then pan-fried to ensure that it is filled with the fragrance of chives but isn't too greasy. The savory Radish Cakes are also filled with real shreds of radish. All dim sum dishes are carefully hand made to ensure superb quality. Top off your meal with one of Hong Kong residents' most beloved drinks--a glass of Iced Yuan Yang (a mix of coffee and milk tea) for NT$65.
