With Chinese-style decor and Southeast Asian
cuisine, The Dining has its own unique style. This Chinese-themed
restaurant boasts an attractive exterior. An antique wooden
door, Chinese characters adorning the facade and wooden lions
at the entrance all help create a happy, nostalgic atmosphere.
The mainly-red interior decor contains hints of Bali with
bamboo curtains and other decorations, adding a little modernity
to the theme. This fusion extends to the cuisine as well.
The House Salad (NT$180) comes with a dressing made from vintage
red wine vinegar. The Spicy Curry Chicken Bean (NT$250) comes
with rice and bread; the curry is slightly spicy but smooth
to the taste with coconut flavors. The Thai Pork Steak (NT$320)
is deep-fried pork with bones. The meat has a great texture
and is very appetizing when eaten with the slightly sweet
and sour lemon sauce. Chinese-style beverages include the
"4 Red Fruit" Tea (NT$120), made from four kinds
of fresh fruit. The House Health Tea (NT$120) is another hot-selling
favorite. Soups that accompany the set meals are all carefully
prepared using plenty of fresh vegetables--healthy, natural
and well worth a try. Business lunches are also available
(NT$250-NT$300), an economical meal deal popular with many
office workers. |
